Columbia, S.C. (WOLO)–Officials with the SC Dept. of Corrections say a man already serving 24 years in prison for a 2015 murder will spend an additional 15 years in prison for throwing feces at a guard.

A department spokesperson says on January 11th, a correctional officer was delivering a meal to Donald Harper at the McCormick Correctional Institution when Harper threw a cup of diarrhea in the guard’s face.

Officials say as a result, the officer required immediate medical attention and continued monitoring for infectious diseases.
