ESCAMBIA COUNTY, Fla. (WKRG) — Escambia County Commissioner Mike Kohler had proposed the idea of renaming one county road after late political activist Charlie Kirk and many voices showed up to Tuesday's commissioners meeting ready to object.
County Commissioners ultimately voted not to rename North 65th Ave either 'Charlie Kirk Way' or 'Turning Point Way' after seeing the outrage from most folks.

"So, before you make me change my driver's license, mortgage, bank statements, everything else that goes along with this, I would ask you if you want your address to be Charlie Kirk Way?" Tara Hartman questioned. "And if you do, I offer my house for sale."
