Parts of Cannington Leisureplex that have been closed for eight months re-opened this week.

The 13-year-old facility now has upgraded male, female and family/accessible change rooms next to the pool featuring new showers, toilet cubicles, and an adult change bed to better support people with high care needs.

The new showers have manual temperature controls and water-saving timers, helping users easily set their preferred temperature while also reducing unnecessary water use. Shower sensors have also been installed to further improve efficiency and sustainability.

Other improvements, completed at the same time, include an upgraded First Aid room and structural and cosmetic repairs to the tiled wall in the concourse area.
