BOSTON — With a new coach and a lot of new players already, Don Sweeney said the Bruins won’t be signing anyone to PTOs.

Sweeney and first-time head coach Marco Sturm met with the media on Wednesday as training camp for the 2025-26 season opened at Warrior Arena.

Unlike in recent years, when the Bruins added Danton Heinen (2023) and Tyler Johnson (2024) on professional tryout agreements heading into camp, Sweeney said the team made the decision to use training camp to learn all they can about their new additions and young players.

They’ll start camp with 23 players who didn’t play for the Boston Bruins in 2024-25.
