CARTERVILLE — Carterville High School Girls Tennis may be in its inaugural season, but the Lions are already proving themselves to be formidable competition for opponents.

Most recently, the Lions defeated Mt. Vernon in a dual match, 6-3. Posting wins were Katya Chyzhyk, Kara Moore, Clara Park, and Kalli Jones in singles.
