CALHOUN COUNTY, W.Va. (WSAZ) - Calhoun County’s commission president has been charged with seven counts of failure to pay tax or file return or report, according to court documents.

Court documents stated Craig Arthur filed a joint partnership business application in July of 2021 for A&A Monument Services, according to Tax Division records.

On June 10, 2025, a Sales and Use Tax non-filer letter was sent Certified Mail to the Arthur and was signed on June 14 by Arthur, court documents stated.

According to court documents, the letter listed seven delinquent periods of tax returns for the Sales and Use tax due for periods ending Oct. 31, 2024; Nov. 30, 2024; Dec. 31, 2024; Jan. 1, 2025; Feb. 28, 2025; March 31, 2025; and April 30, 2025.
