PORTLAND, Ore. (KOIN) — Ted Wheeler is sounding off on federal officials’ threats to crack down on sanctuary jurisdictions like Portland.

In an opinion piece published on Newsweek on Monday, the former mayor revealed his perspective as "someone with a front-row seat to the recovery of one of America's most remarkable cities.” Wheeler cited several references to Portland that have happened on the national level in recent months.
