A CCTV appeal has been issued after a woman was targeted in an attack at a tram stop in south Manchester earlier this year.

Greater Manchester Police are appealing for information following the assault, which was reported on April 8 at the St Werburgh’s Metrolink stop.

Shortly after 8am, an unknown man approached a woman before pulling on her hijab and knocking her off-balance. The victim didn’t suffer any serious injuries.

Following enquiries, officers from Greater Manchester Police have released an image of a man they would like to speak to, as it is believed that he could assist with their ongoing investigations.
