COLUMBIA, S.C. — It's mid-September, the weather is (slowly) cooling down, so that means festival season is heating up. Fall officially starts Monday, September 22, so on this penultimate weekend of summer let's get busy!

If you're looking for some food-centric activity, there's the Town of Lexington Week of Restaurants running through Sunday, or the Palmetto Peanut Boil on Saturday, or -- the big daddy of them all -- Columbia's Greek Festival with all of the gyros and phyllo you can eat beginning Thursday and ending Sunday on Sumter Street.
