Christian Gonzalez sustained a hamstring injury during training camp, which kept him out of the New England Patriots’ first two games, but he could be seeing playing time very soon.
Mike Vrabel told the media that Gonzalez will return to the practice field on Wednesday.
“I would expect him to do some stuff today at practice,” Vrabel said on Wednesday about Gonzalez.
There is a chance Gonzalez could play on Sunday, and Vrabel responded “Sure” when asked if Gonzalez might play this week.
The Patriots are going to need Gonzalez when they take on the Pittsburgh Steelers on Sunday. Steelers quarterback Aaron Rodgers is one of the best in NFL history and has been able to tear apart secondaries for almost two decades.
