(WJET/WFXP) – An Erie man is facing dozens of felony charges after child sexual abuse material (CSAM) was allegedly found on his electronic devices.
On Wednesday, September 17, Attorney General David Sunday announced that 74-year-old Erie resident Paul Chienti was arrested earlier this week and charged with 50 felony counts of possession of child sexual abuse material and one count of criminal use of a communication facility.
According to the Office of the Attorney General, the investigation began with a tip indicating that Chienti had viewed, accessed or uploaded CSAM.
The office then executed a search warrant on Chienti's residence and allegedly seized electronic devices that contained at least 50 files of CSAM, with a majority of the files depicting children under the age of 10.
