AUBURN, Ala. (WTVM) - Auburn University’s president released a statement on Wednesday stating that some employees have been terminated due to violations against the school’s Code of Conduct.
According to Auburn University’s President Christopher Roberts, the individuals terminated made “hurtful’ posts on social media.
“It has come to our attention that there are Auburn employees who made social media posts that were hurtful, insensitive and completely at odds with Auburn’s values of respect, integrity and responsibility in violation of our Code of Conduct. We are terminating the employment of those individuals. We unequivocally condemn this conduct, which is antithetical to values we hold dear in the Auburn Creed, said Roberts.
