LAS VEGAS (KLAS) -- A woman who fired gunshots at a group of people on the Las Vegas Strip after a person in that group “made a joke,” which “agitated” her, will serve four years' probation, a judge ruled Tuesday.
Secret White, 20, of Iowa, initially faced charges including attempted murder for the June shooting on South Las Vegas Boulevard near Sahara Avenue.
On June 8, around 4:45 a.m., White shot at a group of people after someone in that group “made a joke towards them,” which appeared to “agitate” her, police said in documents filed after her arrest. One person in the group suffered a gunshot wound.
In August, White pleaded guilty to a charge of battery with the use of a deadly weapon, records said. As part of the plea deal, prosecutors had “no opposition” to White serving probatio
