Inland Empire was placed under a flood watch by the National Weather Service on Wednesday at 12:17 p.m. The watch is valid from Thursday 5 a.m. until Friday Sept. 19, at 2 a.m.
According to the NWS San Diego CA , “Flooding caused by excessive rainfall is possible.”
“Excessive runoff may result in flooding of rivers, creeks, streams, and other low-lying and flood-prone locations, including burn scar areas. Low-water crossings in the deserts may become flooded,” according to the NWS. “You should monitor later forecasts and be alert for possible Flood Warnings. Those living in areas prone to flooding should be prepared to take action should flooding develop, including near recent burn areas.”
