A popular Florida seafood restaurant was robbed of thousands of dollars by a man who police say used scuba gear to make a quick and slick getaway.

Authorities in Orange County said investigators believe the suspect swam up to Paddlefish restaurant — a replica steamboat located on a pond at Disney Springs — just after midnight on Monday, took off his scuba gear, and entered the establishment while employees were counting money and depositing it in a safe.

According to a police report obtained by ABC affiliate WFTV in Orlando, the suspect forced two workers into a corner and told them to close their eyes.

Police sources told the station that the suspect, who didn’t wield any weapons during the robbery, tied up the employees.
