UPDATE: A North Georgia officer, who was recovering from being shot in the line of duty at a Chattanooga hospital, got a hero's welcome as he returned home on Tuesday.

People lined the streets in McCaysville to welcome Captain Brantley Worley as arrived home after recovering from a shooting at Erlanger.

Worley was shot in the line of duty on September 12, while responding to a service call.

The suspect, 26-year-old Timothy Craig Ramsey, was arrested after a manhunt that lasted for almost a day.

Ramsey was booked at the Fannin County Jail on charges of Aggravated Assault with intent to murder a police officer.
