GREENVILLE COUNTY, S.C. (WSPA) - A Greenville County high school was locked down Wednesday afternoon after a student reported someone brought a gun to school.

The Greenville County Sheriff's Office confirmed Carolina High School was placed on lockdown while deputies investigated a report that a student may have been in possession of a gun on campus.

The sheriff's office said deputies contacted the student in question, but no gun was found. The school was placed on lockdown while deputies conducted a search of the school.

According to Greenville County Schools, Carolina High School Principal Jeremy Carrick sent the following email to parents.
