BUFFALO, N.Y. (WIVB) -- An Olean teenager is dead after he was hit by a car overnight Sunday on I-86, according to New York State Police.
Police said 16-year-old Camrin Poe was in the eastbound lane of I-86 in the town of Allegany when he was struck by a 2018 Dodge Durango. Troopers reportedly responded to someone attempting to wave down passing vehicles around 12:12 a.m.
Poe was declared deceased at the scene and taken to Olean General Hospital for an autopsy.
The 41-year-old driver of the Durango is cooperating in the investigation and showed no signs of impairment, police said.
