LINDON — A multi-car crash in Lindon has injured two people and caused significant delays on northbound I-15.
At 9:15 a.m., a northbound dump truck lost a back tire, which bounced over the wall and hit two vehicles on southbound I-15, Utah Highway Patrol Lt. Cameron Roden said. The cars that were hit were cleared, but the dump truck was still on the shoulder of the freeway.
Traffic was slow in the area while troopers investigated the dump truck. In the slowdown at about 11:30 a.m., a passenger car stopped and was rear-ended by a semitruck, pushing it into other cars. In total, five vehicles were involved, Roden said.
One person is in critical condition and another is in serious condition from that second crash, Roden said.
