OPP investigating sudden death in Ingersoll

Oxford OPP officers are currently investigating what’s being described as a “sudden death” in Ingersoll.

Around noon, officers were dispatched to help Oxford County paramedics “with an individual in Memorial Park,” police said.

That individual was later pronounced dead at the scene.

Oxford OPP officers are continuing to investigate the death with help from the detachment’s crime unit and OPP forensic Identification services in conjunction with the Office of the Chief Coroner.

Since the investigation is in its early stages, no other details are being shared by the OPP, police said.
