A Fulton man has been sentenced to 20 years in prison after pleading guilty to aggravated DUI in connection with a fatal crash.

34-year-old Billy Joseph Harmon admitted guilt to one count of Aggravated DUI for causing the death of Emilee Leathers of Fulton. Circuit Court Judge Michael P. Mills, Jr. sentenced Harmon to serve 20 years in the custody of the Mississippi Department of Corrections.

Harmon also pleaded guilty to one count of Possession of Methamphetamine. He was given a 3-year sentence on that charge, which the court suspended.

The case was prosecuted by Assistant District Attorney Reagan Wise on behalf of the State of Mississippi. The Fulton Police Department led the investigation, with key contributions from Investigator Justin Osbirn and Agent Chet White.
