ATLANTA, Ga. (Atlanta News First) - A Cherokee County man was sentenced to 15 years in prison after pleading guilty to domestic violence charges, prosecutors said Wednesday.

Logan Ben Jordan, 24, of Waleska, pleaded guilty last Thursday to multiple charges stemming from an assault on his girlfriend, according to the Blue Ridge Judicial Circuit District Attorney’s Office, which covers Cherokee County.

On Oct. 21, 2022, Jordan and his then-girlfriend got into an argument at her Woodstock home after a night out for dinner and drinks.

After the woman went to bed, Jordan entered the bedroom and “struck her in the face, stabbed the mattress with a knife, pressed the knife against her torso, strangled her, and threatened to kill her,” prosecutors said.
