A suspect wanted by San Bernardino County sheriff’s deputies was barricaded in the unincorporated East Valinda area Wednesday.

Los Angeles County sheriff’s Special Enforcement Bureau personnel were called to the 18000 block of Galleano Street to assist deputies from San Bernardino County, according to the LASD. The suspect had been barricaded since 11:45 a.m., sheriff’s officials said.

The L.A. County sheriff’s Crisis Negotiation Team was also dispatched to make contact with the suspect and bring the standoff to a peaceful end.

Authorities did not immediately release details on why the suspect was wanted, and it was unclear whether evacuations were ordered in the surrounding area.
