CHICAGO -- If it felt like Dylan Beavers may have been slowing down a bit recently, he’s quickly picked it back up.
In the top of the fourth inning on Wednesday afternoon, the 24-year-old unloaded on a 2-2, 89.2 mph sinker from White Sox starter Martín Pérez. There was little doubt where the ball was headed.
Beavers drilled the pitch well over the right-field wall at Rate Field, a two-run shot that drove in the deciding runs in Baltimore’s 3-1 sweep-clinching win over Chicago.
