BATON ROUGE, La. — The Louisiana Department of Justice temporarily heightened security Wednesday morning after receiving "secondhand information" about a potentially armed individual headed to the Attorney General’s Office in downtown Baton Rouge.

Officials said they were told the person might be in possession of a rifle and possibly in emotional distress. Security measures were immediately put in place at the Livingston Building, located at 1885 N. 3rd Street.
