ROANOKE, Va. (WDBJ) - The Grandin Theatre will be screening “A Beast Touch the Mountain,” a documentary about the decade long battle to stop the Mountain Valley Pipeline.
It focuses on the women of Bent Mountain as they work to keep the pipeline from destroying their community.
“What happens with this pipeline directly affects people in Roanoke and all through the area,” said the film’s writer, director & producer, James Mottern.
Mottern, a Shenandoah Valley native, has been working on this film for the last 18 months.
He heard about the Mountain Valley Pipeline through his executive producer, which inspired him to come out and hear the stories from the community.
