TAMPA, Fla. (WFLA) — The Tampa Bay Buccaneers will face New York Jets backup quarterback Tyrod Taylor because Jets starting quarterback Justin Fields is out this week due to a concussion.
"He's just as good as Justin. He's played longer. He's a very smart quarterback and gets out of the pocket. He knows where to go with the football. He's very experienced while I have to play our game," said Bucs head coach Todd Bowles.
"He's a leader. He is a veteran presence, which was instrumental for me when I had a chaotic first year in Cleveland. He's somebody I relied on a lot, so I have a ton of respect for him just the way he's able to command and operate," said Bucs quarterback Baker Mayfield.
