SIOUX CITY (KTIV) - A pre-trial conference was scheduled for Wednesday, Sept. 17, in the case of the man accused of killing a young woman in Sioux City four decades ago.
However, it was delayed at the last minute. But, we now know suspect Thomas Popp will be back in court on Wednesday, Feb. 11, 2026.
Six days before he’s set to go to trial for the murder of Terri McCauley.
Popp is accused of the 1983 killing of 18-year-old McCauley just off Sioux City’s Floyd Boulevard.
But, Popp wasn’t indicted by a grand jury until January 2025, 42 years after the crime.
Popp was arrested in Washington State and extradited to Iowa.
