CORRECTIONVILLE, Iowa (KTIV) - Members of the Correctionville community are commemorating the 250th anniversary of the founding of the U.S. military and paying tribute to the service and sacrifice of local veterans, bringing in traveling exhibits on Iowa’s military connections.
There are 3 different walls at the Correctionville Community Center until the end of the week. The Traveling Photo Memorial of Iowa’s Fallen, the Traveling Wall of Remembrance, and a new Correctionville Area Memory Wall.
The goal for these exhibits is to highlight veterans who sacrificed everything for our freedom, and educate different communities about Iowa’s ties to war.
