OCONEE COUNTY, S.C. (WSPA) -- A Westminster woman will spend 15 years in the South Carolina Department of Corrections after she was found guilty of stabbing another person in the neck.

According to the Oconee County Sheriff's Office, the stabbing occurred near West-Oak Highway and Snow Creek Road on November 13, 2022.

Wanda Harvey was found guilty of assault and battery of a high and aggravated nature on Tuesday afternoon.

Witnesses stated an argument began between Harvey and and other occupants inside a vehicles as they were driving down Westminster Highway. Harvey became agitated and, during the argument, said "she was not afraid to die" before lunging at the victim with a knife. Harvey managed to strike the victim in the neck before the other occupants intervened and pulled her off.
