NORTH CORODUS TWP., Pa. - An investigation is underway after officials say three officers were killed in a shooting in York County Wednesday.

What we know:

At around 2:10 p.m. Wednesday, medics and police were at a scene in North Codorus Township.

The shooting occurred about 115 miles west of Philadelphia.

In an update Wednesday, officials say five officers were shot during the incident. Unfortunately, three of the five officers shot were killed.

Two officers were taken to York hospital where they are listed in critical condition.

Officials say the suspected shooter was fatally shot by police.

A local school district issued a shelter-in-place order. However, neither the school nor the students were involved in the shooting, the district said, according to AP.
