LANSING — A day after an Ingham County judge visited a long-established homeless camp, she demanded its residents become their own "superheroes" and work with the city and local agencies to find a safe place to live before winter.
"We're going to work this out," Circuit Judge Rosemarie Aquilina told a packed courtroom that included at least 20 residents from the camp or those supporting the residents' rights. "You all deserve proper housing but I need you to be your superhero.
