SAN ANTONIO — The San Antonio Police Department says they're still looking for the suspect who caused Marshall High School to be placed under a secure status.
On Wednesday afternoon, Marshall High School was under a secure status due to a disturbance in the area, but not associated with the school.
The difference between being placed under a "secure status" and a "lockdown" is that all exterior doors are secured and outdoor activities are brought inside as the threat is considered to be outside of the school. A lockdown refers more to when the threat is already inside the building.
Patrol officers were allegedly able to locate the suspect at a nearby Circle K before he led the officers on a chase.
For reinforcements, officers called in extra K-9 units and a helicopter to sweep the area
