STURGIS — The Sturgis cross country teams each ran to victory over Paw Paw on Tuesday afternoon at home.

The Trojan girls ran away with the competition, finishing with a score of 17-45. Eight of the Top 10 spots were finishers from Sturgis.

Winning the race was Tessa Hatt, she paced the field with a time of 21:44 for the day. Right behind her was Lulu Park in second at 21:54, Sydney Bir came in third place overall with a time of 22:26 for the Trojans.

Eleanor Park was fifth (23:52), Kenzie Eicher claimed sixth (23:58), Olivia Green came in seventh (24:00), Carolina Garcia finished ninth (24:24) and Juliet Mendoza placed 10th at 24:40.

The Trojan boys won a much closer competition, 28-29. Benji Morales led all runners by winning the race for Sturgis with a time of 16:54. Micaiah Arreola
