Several police officers were involved in a shooting Wednesday afternoon in North Codorus Township, York County.
A 911 call from the scene at 2:10 p.m. said there were officers down, and at least two were sent to the hospital in serious condition. Roads in the area were closed and schools were locked down for a time.
State police and Gov. Josh Shapiro are holding a news conference on the incident. They said three officers were killed, two injured .
“This is an absolutely tragic and devastating day,” Shapiro said.
