JACKSONVILLE, Fla. — There’s no panic in Jacksonville. Despite a slow start to the season for second-year wide receiver Brian Thomas Jr., the Jaguars remain confident that the former first-round pick will rebound and soon.

Through the first two weeks of the regular season, Thomas has struggled with dropped passes, a surprising development for a player who showed flashes of brilliance during his rookie campaign. But according to Thomas, there are no excuses not even the lingering wrist issue he's been managing.

“The wrist is not an excuse,” Thomas told reporters this week. “I own the drops. I know I have to be better.”
