A man wanted for the alleged murder of his parents in Oklahoma was found dead in Texas, according to the Texas Department of Public Safety.
DPS was notified at 2:25 p.m. Tuesday, Sept. 16, by the Reeves County Sheriff’s Office of a dead man discovered near milepost 18 along Interstate 20. The individual was later identified as 35-year-old Jeffrey Scott Baker, a fugitive wanted in connection with a double homicide in Pushmataha County, Oklahoma.
Baker had recently been spotted in El Paso, captured on surveillance video at a Dollar General on Upper Valley Road. He was considered armed and dangerous and was believed to be driving a gray 2013 Dodge Caravan belonging to his parents, who were found dead with injuries consistent with homicide in Pushmataha County, Oklahoma.
