SOUTH BEND, Ind. (WNDU) - Even though it feels like summer right now, fall is upon us.

That means more than just pumpkin spice lattes. It’s also allergy season.

According to Corewell Health Otolaryngologist Paul Judge, the warmer temperatures are prolonging allergen exposure with higher allergen and pollen counts.

He shared some strategies people can implement into their routine during the allergy season.

“Everybody is going to need to titrate to their own tolerance,” Dr. Judge says. “So, sometimes patients just take a Zyrtec over the counter, go outside, mow the lawn and they’re totally fine.
