Stars on Showcase : The stars of high school cross country were on display at Lincoln Christian’s meet last week with six top-ranked teams and seven defending state champions in the field.

Owasso’s Ava Cornelius won the star-studded girls 5K race at 17:48, and she coasted to the championship with a 47-second cushion. Edmond Memorial’s Lauryn Krebs finished second at 18:35.

Edmond Memorial won the girls team title with 38 points, while Lincoln Christian was second at 53. Lincoln Christian was led by a trio of girls in the top 10 –- Madison Miller (sixth at 19:14), Bentley Stewart (eighth at 19:27) and Tennyson Housley (ninth at 19:38).

Regent Prep was fourth as a team, and the Rams were led by Victoria Cunningham in 18th place at 20:16. Bishop Kelley came in fifth, and it
