HOOVER, Ala. (WIAT) -- A Hoover City Schools employee was placed on administrative leave for a post on their personal social media account.
In an email Wednesday, HCS spokesperson Merrick Wilson the school system was informed of the "divisive and insensitive" post. The HCS started an investigation.
Wilson stated that while the employee was on leave, they participated in customized training and self-reflection. The process was designed for the employee to recognize the effect and influence educators have on students and the community. The employee was taken off administrative leave after cooperating and competing all requirements.
