PAWLEYS ISLAND, S.C. (WCBD) — September is National Suicide Prevention Month and one man traveling the East Coast to spread awareness is getting an outpouring of support from the Lowcountry.

Clinton Baker has dedicated his life to helping people struggling with mental health. His journey began in 2019 after losing his son, father, mother, and three brothers all within a single year. Overwhelmed with grief, Baker attempted to take his own life. Thanks to medical staff, he survived, and now he’s on a mission to advocate for mental health resources and encourage open conversations about suicide.
