HELENA — Cooper Dighans received a different game day look Saturday, a more behind-the-scenes glance, at the Montana Tech football program he grew up cheering for.

The nationally-ranked Orediggers improved to 3-0 , while Dighans attended with family, beating Rocky Mountain College 34-23. By Tuesday, Dighans had a full-ride scholarship offer in his email inbox from head Tech coach Kyle Samson.

That night, he signed, and was announced Wednesday as the program's newest tight end/full-back destined to follow a green-and-copper path his father and uncle paved some 20 years earlier.

“After I saw that [Samson] was offering me a full ride, I didn’t waste any time,” Dighans said.
