CHESTER – Gov. Josh Shapiro Wednesday reiterated that Pennsylvania is “prepared” to respond in the event President Donald Trump directs the deployment of the National Guard to address crime in Philadelphia.

The remarks were made just hours before a shooting unfolded in York County in which several police officers were killed, after Shapiro had spotlighted a drop in violent crime across the commonwealth. ×
