In an auditorium at the Keystone Oaks School District, students came together to perform, get excited for the new school year, and, more importantly, say thank you to the teachers who continue to make an impact on their lives.
While current teachers were feeling the love, leaders at Keystone Oaks High School have been working to address a national issue: retaining new teachers. Advertisement
To help address this, leaders at Keystone Oaks and the Hempfield school districts implemented new programs in the last year to help address the national teacher shortage.
"I think, unfortunately, sometimes new candidates are most challenged by experience," said Michael Linnert, principal at Keystone Oaks High School.
