Duluth School District implementing new crisis response strategies

DULUTH, Minn. (Northern News Now) - Emergency preparedness in Duluth schools, like Laura MacArthur, is getting a boost after additional training sessions over the summer.

Now, focus is not just physical safety, but also on mental health and trauma response.

On September 11, a local man allegedly threatened to shoot into the windows of Laura MacArthur Elementary School.
