HORRY COUNTY, S.C. (WBTW) -- Around the time of her death, 11-year-old A'Kyri Bell had been pulled out of public school and was homeschooled.

If the little girl had been around mandated reporters, 15th Circuit Solicitor Jimmy Richardson said someone may have noticed the abuse she suffered. He said it's an important aspect of the case.

"Certainly, there's a much better percentage that a teacher or, coach would, notice something going on if they are in school than if they're not in school," Richardson said. "We get a lot of referrals that way. It's referrals that you don't get when they're not in school."

News13 obtained indictment files for the suspects in the murder and human trafficking case. A'Kyri died on June 13 in a Carolina Forest Hospital.
