TWIN FALLS, Idaho (KMVT/KSVT) — Local veterans and emergency responders had a cheerful start to the morning with an honorary breakfast.

Canyon Ridge High School students played host to the Annual Service Brunch.

The event recognizes local veterans, as well as emergency service members like police and fire departments.

A delicious breakfast was served, then students gathered around the veterans to hear stories of their service.

“It’s really important because it helps inspire my generation to join the military and then also encourages us and helps us remember what they did for us and support them,” Rachel Bieu, the Canyon Ridge High School Student Body President said.

The veterans enjoyed being honored by the students and were glad to share their stories as well.
