PITTSBURGH -- Pittsburgh Steelers defensive tackle Derrick Harmon returned to practice on Wednesday for the first time since suffering an MCL sprain a month ago against the Carolina Panthers .

Harmon was seen going through individual drills. That is a sign that he could return for Sunday’s game against the New England Patriots .

Harmon says that he is ready for the call whenever the team needs him, though head coach Mike Tomlin said he would be ‘questionable at best.

“I’m ready to go when my number is called,” Harmon said.

He noted that it would be up to the Steelers coaches and trainers on when he would return to practice, but the hope is that his activity will be ramped up this week.

“We’re gonna see,” Harmon said about his practice availability this week.
