SPOKANE, Wash. -- Browne Street in downtown Spokane is down to one lane due to multiple police officers and cars near the viaduct on Wednesday evening.

Around 5 p.m., multiple Spokane Police Department officers responded to the viaduct near Second Avenue and reduced Browne Street to one lane.

No information about what caused the response or lane closure was provided.

A 4 News Now crew at the scene witnessed officers taping off the viaduct.

Around 5:45 p.m., SPD told 4 News Now the lane closures would be in effect for at least another hour.
