Gaffney football, faced with a sudden change at the quarterback position entering the fourth week of the season, will need to adapt on the fly after it was announced Sept. 16 that four-star Arkansas commit Jayvon Gilmore had withdrawn from the school .

First-year coach Donnie Littlejohn said on Sept. 17 that he has attempted to reach Gilmore and his mother but hasn't been met with a response. It is not known where Gilmore might be playing next.
